Sun Snow
Living where we do in the mountains, we don’t have much snow this year. The other side of the divide, the ski areas, are getting plenty, but so far, we’ve only had a dusting.
Yesterday and today, it has been snowing lightly. that perfect snow you see in the movies, the type that is pretty well prescribed for a perfect Christmas. This moening, there ws a light coating of snow on the deck, while it still gently fell in the sunlight. The air was so cold last night and this morning, that each snowflake retained its crystal form, stacking up against each other lightly. So lightly it looked like that fake plastic snow that used to be used for displays in store windows. As the snow fall in the sun, it glittered and glistened like that fake snow, as if someone stood on the roof with a large shaker.
Perfect snow, perfect day.
