Arthritis and Ravelympics

I had such goals for this year’s crocheting – and thanks to my hands hurting so bad lately, I didn’t get most of it done. Only three pieces, and parts of the fourth so far.

I might finish that hat tomorrow though – keep your fingers crossed.

Abe Lincoln, Vampire Hunter?

 Apparently so! The man who brought us Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as well as Sense and Sensibility and Seamonsters, brings us yet another book – and I can’t wait to read it. This hits my birthday list – hint, hint!

Black History Month – Isom Dart

Isom dart, born Ned Huddleston, was a slave who became a famed horseman after the Civil War, and a more infamous horse and cattle rustler.  He had a live of adventure before being killed at the age of 51.  he is one of Colorado’s notable people.

Black History Month- Clara Brown

Not only was this woman a former slave, she was a mover and shaker in Denver and surrounds, funding the foundation of  three churches and helping countless people get on their feet, get educated and make something fo their lives, some with amazing success!
